Art Crank
This project was created for Art Crank, a non-profit bike race that brings together a community of cyclists and artists. I designed a cohesive stationery system for the event that captures its creative energy and passion for both art and cycling. The visual identity draws from bold, expressive design elements to reflect the vibrant spirit of Art Crank and enhance the overall experience for participants, partners, and supporters.
Design process and Concept
For this project, I aimed to incorporate a more artistic and personal approach by including hand-written and hand-drawn elements throughout the stationery system. These hand-done components were intentionally juxtaposed with a more structured and formal typographic style, creating a playful tension between spontaneity and order.
While the design is rooted in the context of a non-profit bike race, my goal was for it to evoke the joyful, uninhibited energy of an elementary school art class. I wanted the visual language to feel creative, approachable, and fun—mirroring the spirit of Art Crank and its celebration of both cycling and artistic expression.
